I have been working at Sears

You can build decent skills in sales and management with this company and can advance within the store (if you get your nose brown). I've worked with Sears in the HI dept. for over two years now. They've always been flexible with hours and compensation can be satisfactory depending on how determined and ruthless you decide to be.

I've remained employed by Sears because they're flexible. Your hours depend on primarily on your metrics (PAs, SPPs, credit, installs, sales per hour), such as warranties, which a majority of associates would never purchase on a product they purchase. Extracurricular duties are a constant, such as taking on MCA's duties. This can very well affect your selling abilities, which can affect your metrics, which in return can affect your hours. Customer service can be quite unprofessional and sears services, such as installations or deliveries can go awry.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow the associates appropriate time for sales and be sure to keep a full staff of MCAs and cashiers to cover their duties. Also, it seems managers at times must polish their customer service and respect for the customers and not view them as idiotic money trees.
