  • There are some good points, but the negatives really ruin working for what could be a great company.

I have been working at Sears full-time (Less than a year)

Good pay, friendly people, known name, flexible scheduling, and plenty of job growth opportunities make Sears a nice place to work.

Antiquated systems, computers, phones and programs are outdated. No HR person on site, you have to call an 800 number during normal business hours and good luck getting any help. If you have any questions, it's like pulling teeth to get help. And if you have a problem, it will take months to get it straightened out. Insurance sucks. You would think Sears would have great bargaining for a decent plan, but no. This could be because of the Affordable Care Act, but I doubt it.

    Advice to Management

How about instead of teaching people to apologize and empathize: teach them how to actually do their jobs and hire enough staff?
