Pretty good for a first job

I worked at Sears part-time (less than an year)

It was a pretty laid back place to work, probably because it was a store in a relatively small town. Everyone I worked with was pretty laid back. I got paid minimum wage to essentially take clothes out of the fitting rooms and put them back on the racks. Not much to be said about that.

My store didn't see a lot of customers (like many Sears stores these days). This meant that the work wasn't real strenuous, but it also meant that it could be a kind of depressing place to work, especially in the evening towards closing. Some customers could be rude: I had one lunge at me across a counter, and twice I found that customers had urinated in the fitting rooms. Pretty standard retail stuff. Also, I feel that the number of training modules I had to sit through was disproportionate to the actual duties and importance of my job.
