    I have been working at Sedgwick Claims Management Services

    Pros

    Generally Corp. Office employees are well taken care of. If you're looking for a job where you really don't have to do much work but still collect a paycheck, it's your kind of place.
    The benefit package is quite good. In fact, it's probably one of the best out there. The health care is a bit pricey, but it covers pretty much everything. Compensation is generally in line with other companies in the industry.

    Cons

    Promotions from within are rare unless you are an Examiner, and even then it tends to be very slow. Also, work load tends to be very high for Examiners and low for Corporate.

    Most importantly, I worry about long term growth. There has been a lot of turnover in senior and executive leadership in the past few years and the overall vision has suffered. The focus has been on growing revenue, which is pretty normal but they are cutting too many corners and alienating too many employees to do so.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Relearn to listen to your employees. Remember that quality staff is hard to retain, but harder still to replace.
