I have been working at Selby Jennings full-time (more than 3 years)

Their advertisements, where they always advertise 100,000+ salary jobs.

They are not honest, bottom-line. A typical tactic is that they will say something like "$150,000.00+" per year in cities X,Y,Z, and add the typical line, "This bank is competitive and performing well in the industry and therefore can offer a high rate of pay compared to others" or something like that, so you send your resume, and if they like it, they'll call you back. Now, when they call you back, they say, we only have an opportunity in city "A" or city "W", which is not what was advertised, and NOT what you applied for. Once they get you on the phone, they start phishing for information, they want to know everything about you, where you've worked, and are most interested in if you have interviewed for others companies in the financial industry. If so, they want to know who, what the questions were, how much pay was being offered, and then they never call you back.

The majority of their time is used in phishing for information from unknowing candidates who think the purpose of Selby Jennings is to land you a job, they couldn't be further from the truth. Truly, it is a scam designed to get as much inside information from the candidates as possible.
