Good benefits, bonus potential, corporately seems to be heading in the right direction.
Very poor training and new employee integration at the branch level. They hire someone with multiple years of experience and treat them like an entry level employee. All this while at the same time expecting you to produce a high volume from the start of your employment but with zero authority to be able to do so. So everything you work on is a referral, no one you refer to wants to give you a clear or consistent decision, and you end having to decline 8 or 9 out of every 10 accounts submitted to you by your agents. Then out of the few accounts you can actually work on, you cannot be competitive enough to write more 10-15% of the business. Not a good recipe for success. Guidelines are not clear, branch supervisor is not supportive at all when approached with questions or concerns, and obvious discrimination was displayed with employees in the office. When confronted with the issues, they quickly turn it back against you rather than trying to reach a resolution.
Advice to Management
Corporately, they need to take a closer look at the branch operations and what is/is not being done to cultivate good employees and a positive work environment. It's hard to be a good employee when your immediate branch supervisor is constantly bashing their manager and corporate procedures that are being put in place.
