    I have been working at Sentara Healthcare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    -Decent benefits -No Layoffs -Mostly friendly teams -promote from within

    Cons

    -Monopoly on Health IT in the region, no other options to work in the field without being open to extensive travel -No flex time, it is determined per team and manager, some teams get extensive work from home time during holidays other teams only in case of emergency (applied only to IT) -Very little training offered, or options for certification/vendor training -Poor all around project management, employees are hired based on technical skill but PM work is required in the job, there is little to no training to compensate for this -Lower range on the pay scale for titles, and very little chance to increase other than moving high into upper management, even they are underpaid
