I have been working at Sephora full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

extremely progressive, frequently changing dynamics, not afraid to take risks. Fair amount of internal training available.

    Cons

does not pay industry standard wages. Leadership does not follow the rules that everyone else is expected to follow. Poor communication from the top down. Lots of direction to do things because someone in leadership wants it regardless of impact. Sephora values only paid lip service. Nonexistent work life balance. Fair amount of nepotism. HR is horrific - feels like you're meeting with the cast of the movie mean girls. heavy reliance of contractors at rates which are 2-3x what a local headcount would cost.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate more frequently. Don't advertise activities that you have no intention of following up on. Be honest about changes in policies instead of just not communicating them. Be honest that the rules are different once you get into the senior leadership ring.
