Current Employee - Software Development Intern  in  Boston, MA
Current Employee - Software Development Intern in Boston, MA

I have been working at SevOne full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I had a great experience interning at SevOne. I'll admit I did start off the first week a little lost since I was the only software intern in the Boston Office, however, other devs in the office as well as remote interns from Delaware and Philly were more than happy to help me. The people here are young and fun to hang out with, and my managers were patient and very helpful whenever I had questions. Ultimately I learned a ton and am happy that I was given the opportunity to make contributions to the core product, which is exactly what I wanted out of an internship. Other perks include ~biweekly happy hours, nice computers, casual dress code, pretty cool office, and chill people.

    Cons

A lack of direction during the first couple weeks. I had to constantly message people from other offices in order to find stuff to do. However, once I got settled into a development team, it was all good from there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Maybe a clearer introduction of the company for new interns/hires. Could be just a standardized list of videos to watch/ things to read about so interns will get a sense of how the product and company works, and managers won't have to constantly spend their time trying to find scattered training resources for new hires.
