Great pay and room for advancement if willing to relocate. You do get good training when starting in the manager training program out of college.

Middle and upper management are out of touch. They tell you to sell this product but don't always look at the geographical location of each store and what the demographics are. Middle management can be very irate and disrespectful when numbers aren't better than 100%. They are very short staffed in the stores and managers must always pick up those hours. You are way over worked for even the good salary. They also don't listen to what you have to say about things. Everything is seen as an excuse of why you didn't hit a target.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. This isn't a family valued business. Quit trying to keep up with Lowes and Home Depot by trying to get 7 & 8 pm paint sales. Look at your employees and what is best for them, not just the numbers on the P&L.
