US Filter was great but, when Siemens took over and new management came into play, it went down hill fast.

I have been working at Siemens Water Technologies full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Benefits are good and that's it! The company is now run by Evoqua Water Technologies. Time will tell if this is a plus for us.

    Cons

Low wages for very heavy wet work. Yearly reviews are done with predigest. Very long hours so you don't have much of a home life. Very bad management that only cares for what makes them look good at ANY cost. As a production worker you are treated as if you don't matter at all and never appreciated for a job well done. Management will throw the workers a bone every so often to try and keep up appearances but, you are reminded daily of how insignificant you are. The plant operates with a lack of tools and parts to do your job in a timely fashion which results in people taking items from each other daily. This is very frustrating when you are pushed to be faster without those items. You are subjected to carbon dust and acid fumes quite often. Workers vehicles have are required to be parked where acid fumes get to them from time to time also.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the local and regional management and put someone in there that can respect the employees and not treat them as if they are sub human worthless people! you cannot earn respect from employees by flat out spying, lying,, and causing conflicts and disrepair daily and putting a smile on your face for it. We need a manager, not a police officer with a attitude!
