I have been working at Silicon Valley Bank

    Pros

Workplace culture is great. You can tell that most offices really feel like family. Immediate managers are wonderful people. They really work to train everyone to be really good at what they do and want everyone to take pride in their work. Managers are always happy to help and train if there's something you want to understand better.

    Cons

For a company that focuses so much on innovation, sometimes upper management can be a little resistant to change. Some people have really good ideas and are doing good work, but they end up stifled by people who are too worried about messing up the current status quo.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You tell people you're all about change and innovation, but then you stop good ideas in their tracks because you're worried about the short-term changes instead of the good that people's ideas can do in the long run.
