    I worked at Simpson Strong-Tie full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Working here provides above adequate experience in many diverse areas of manufacturing/production, and, higher ups are not just bosses, they're friends, giving above 100% for benefit of employees and themselves. Plant atmosphere is one of quality people sharing the wealth through work, knowledge, and experience, getting down in the trenches with lower workers, willingly providing proficient methods needed to insure employee stability.

    Cons

    Longevity in same position, limited opportunity for advancement, but, occasional bonuses, festive activities to demonstrate employer appreciation. Stagnancy of position as plant size is minimal.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Increase potential for growth through plant expansion, creating opportunity for growth from within through placement of experienced personnel in leadership roles to provide potentially beneficial skills to newly hired, adding to workforce in hands-on performance of job responsibilities.
