I worked at Sirius Computer Solutions full-time (More than a year)

Flexible work schedule, company is very focused on vendor partnerships and the right technology.

Merger with MCI and Sirius changed some of the organization and management, which changed peoples salaries and bonuses. Many good people left after the merger due to culture. During interview process was told sales numbers were met for the year to meet bonus comp payout but when hired later found out that was not the case, so compensation was not what the local sales office verbally suggested it was for MBO. Upper Management did make up for the difference, but it was like pulling teeth to do so. Sales process with customers was at face value, no follow up, or follow up took months not weeks to get reports, quote turnaround time was weeks not days. Company was losing customers due to lack of follow up. Back end processing was also difficult, management was not supportive, post sales engineers tend not to listen to advice and try to figure things on their own without asking for help from senior staff, projects resulted in not going well and customers unhappy, some customers requested not to have certain engineers back onsite.. Good people left the company, which caused other new hires to fill in who were not team players, but more focused on what they can sale, and trying to do pre sales on their own without proper training or knowledge.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on teamwork, get rid of those who do not follow through or work as team players with staff and customers.
