I have been working at SiriusXM full-time (More than 3 years)
So little I wouldn't recommend for a long term place to work. Okay for a stepping stone.
According to SXM handbook "FMLA leave is unpaid leave. However, for all types of FMLA leave, the Company will require, unless applicable law requires otherwise, that employees use any and all accrued paid vacation and any other accrued paid leave which they are eligible to use concurrently with any FMLA leave, including maternity and parental leave as referenced in the policies governing that type of leave. Thus, some portions of an employee’s FMLA leave may in fact be paid through an employee’s use of accrued"
Advice to Management
Correct your ridiculous maternity and paternity leave policy. Forcing men and women to use their paid vaca time during their legally mandated unpaid leave time is just cruel and unusual. It should be a choice.
