    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees. When you hire someone for a full time position, make sure you have the full time hours to offer to the employee and not constantly call them off. Colorado as a whole has a very oppressive nursing culture, low paid, understaffed and you are given the attitude that you should just be happy to have a job. A 6:1 nursing ratio is unacceptable, they do not staff per acuity and patients that require more care are left to fend for themselves since at 6:1 the nurse only has 10 min per hour per patient. High acuity patients such as quadriplegics are often not fed or cleaned. Shame on you HCA!!
