I have been working at SmartFocus full-time (more than 3 years)

some fantastic staff that have ridden a very successful wave of company growth and made a considerable amount of cash doing so.
This company has paid huge (unsustainable) commissions to sales people in the past.
SmartFocus also has some amazing solutions (which the industry is crying out for) the problem is they miss-sell them, they then don't work and cannot be implemented effectively.
Marketing have finally got their act together (including the reviews on the 13th June 2014 on Glassdoor - as no member of staff honestly believes that!) but they have a long way to go and a very tough job ahead!

Without the most basic business principles in place this business will eventually fail!

Numerous senior key staff are leaving because the CEO doesn't listen (or take on board their advice) and keeps recruiting his own people who are more interested in picking fights and political point scoring...this is exhausting for everyone concerned and a waste of everyone's time and energy rather than focusing on the positive change the business and its clients desperately need.

There is also a culture of bullying and intimidation by senior staff which can make this a miserable and depressing place to work.

With a vast number of staff leaving this only places increasing pressure on the already stretched remaining staff that are close to breaking point. There is no induction for new starters or business process to follow and this again places more pressure on the experienced staff. The CEO quite openly doesn't care about this and consequently staff turnover is going through the roof.

Staff desperately try to hide the truth from new starters so they don't get demoralized immediately.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Throwing money at staff, when they resign, is no way to run an effective business.

lower your asking price and sell this company ASAP before it collapses.
