    Pros

    Company car. Make your own hours. Good benefits.

    Cons

    You are required to make 7 net sales per month. To net 7 sales you need to make 10 sales per month because 3 will cancel before installation due to structural reasons, buyers remorse, etc. With this said, if you want to be human and take two days off per week you would need to make a sale every other day to gross 10 sales. 90% of people can not do this even if you feel you are a great salesperson. Good people get fired every month. Also, the company gives you warm leads from Home Depot and Best Buy when you are new. When you reach 8+ months with the company they give you less and less HD and BB leads because they feel you are a veteran and can now get leads on your own. Some of the Home Depot and Best Buy(in store) reps are giving the hot leads to other solar companies sales reps because they are getting paid more(on the side) from them than solarcity. This job looks good on paper but in reality it is not what is says. You can work really hard and make no sales. Kind of like selling real estate or insurance. You are on your own. Very stressful job.

    Advice to Management

    Do not judge or grade a sales rep in such a small window of time(2-3months). Have respect for your sales people, they are not the enemy. Design the product and service(the offer) to help the sales rep and not make it difficult for them to explain it to a potential customer.
