I worked at Sony as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Amazing reach of the product lines, which ensures visibility of one's efforts. International work environment. The company's roots go a long way back, which gives its decisions a longer perspective than quarterly results.

    Cons

The corporate culture (at least in the U.S.) can be an odd mixture of American "shoot-from-the-hip" mentality and strict Japanese adherence to hierarchy, which make for very odd bed fellows.
