I have been working at Sony Music Entertainment full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

SME has great brand recognition, it's the 2nd biggest record label in the world, and you'll learn a lot being here. On the perks side, the NYC office has a decent gym, nice cafeteria, and good employee discounts and benefits.

    Cons

Some teams at Sony are FANTASTIC, others are not. This is not always the fault of those running the teams, as the overall revenue of the business has shrunk dramatically in the last decade, leaving few people to do the work of many in some roles. As with any large corporate structure, there can be challenges in terms of communication and managing expectations; it all depends on your team. If you're unlucky, you could easily end up working 60-80 hours a week.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I'd suggest trying to adopt a culture of greater cross-conversation and supervision, breed a company of communicators. Too many teams are isolated with one person overseeing as many as 20-30 people, with little or no oversight of supervisors and VPs.
