Challenging, both in a positive way, but also a negative - plenty of variety of work but frustratingly slow to change.

    I worked at Southwark Council

Great location, exciting challenges to address, lots of opportunity to make a difference. Diverse business means that every day is different.

Senior management are too worried about KPIs and not worried enough about innovation and, more importantly, getting rid of silo mentality and working as a whole organisation. This makes working here frustrating.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Commit to a 'one organisation' strategy - get rid of empires (they still exist whatever anyone tells you), and take a hard look at the outcomes being achieved. Limited evaluation of prohjects takes place which means it's almost impossible to know whether things are getting better!
