    I worked at Southwest Foodservice Excellence full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Fast growth, some opportunity for advancement although limited, strong financial base, great employees

    Cons

    Owners and upper management are only interested in making themselves money. Consistently dishonest regarding company philosophy and goals. No Culture, fend for yourself. Anyone who likes ARAMARK profit above all else attitude will love it here.
    Now they are by passing all the internal staff who took a risk on a small unproven company and helped them grow and have all but stopped promoting from within to Regional or Administrative positions. Very demoralizing to their still loyal staff. Directors have to assist most of the Regional staff do their jobs because the Regional staff is mostly incompetent.
    The fact they have had four HR leaders in three years and cannot keep one on board says about all it needs to say about relationships. honesty of owners and leaders as well as their understanding that great people got them where they are today but they do not really care.
    Food quality has dropped so much that they will start losing districts to contractors who can still produce quality food.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Realize the ones that got you where you are are valuable and hiring from SODEXO and ARAMARK is destroying any loyalty you may have one had. Your only competitive edge is the return you provide to school districts but if you keep serving poor product, firing people right and left and don't learn how to have positive relationships with district Admin,
    You are going to shrink faster than you grow.
