I worked at Sportsman's Warehouse full-time (more than 3 years)

The discount is great, the people who work at the stores are amazing, and you get to learn a lot about their products and other outdoors activities you might not have been interested in before.

As a woman I believe it was a much more difficult environment to work in. This is not a pogressive place to work, thinking outside the box may be "encouraged" but it is not in any real way facilitated. (This is an outdoor company that doesn't even recycle & uses an obscene amount of paper, plastic, & styrofoam dishes, utensils and cups.) The benifits and pay are okay, but good luck getting a raise of any decent amount after hire. So make sure you ask for more then you want to begin with.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cut some of the red tape. Start a recycling program. Better technologies (computers, IT staff, and programs), and listen to an employee's suggestions seriously.
