    I worked at Sprint full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Sprint offers a solid commitment to their existing and perspective clients by partnering with them and creating true technology solutions that can be easily replicated. The company also offers a bill to account model which enables clients to pay one provider instead of having to manage multiple bills and vendors at the end of the day. Finally, Sprint provides some of the best customer service to their clients and respects their time by giving them multiple avenues to resolve issues (in person, online, telephone, etc).

    Cons

    The challenges with Sprint are the whimsical changes with leadership. As the wind blows north so did we change sales directions. We saw this frequently in the NY/NJ market and it affected our ability to sell and to manage our funnels. As things crossed his desk we receive various messages during the course of the month, about new changes on what we were doing, as it was going to bolster our sales. These new directions impeded us from completing certain metric which further frustrated him. This lead to further changes, dissatisfaction with our results and finally threats with ramifications should we not achieve his perceived vision. As the market worsened his need to change the direction and intensify fear tactics escalated. Some people were terminated regardless of performance levels as examples as he was upset with them on a personal level. Local managers and sales reps tried more to increase their friendship with and acquiesce to the directors requests then sell as it could save their positions. If you apply in the NJ/NY area look for a care related or indirect sales position.

    Advice to Management

    Local NJ/NY leadership (management) and performance based terminations need to be equal, not based on friendships at management levels.
