I worked at Sprouts Farmers Market part-time (more than a year)Pros
Interaction with some customers is pleasant. Good music, exposure to interesting food, and of course, the 15% discount.Cons
Too top heavy with managers.
Incompetent management that closes it's eyes to issues; especially issues important to employees.
MANY managers are obviously just in it for the money and are, frankly, lazy. The busier it gets, the more the managers run from the chaotic environment they created and hide in the back offices. (Great example of team leadership. Not.)
Nepotism, favoritism and cronyism to the hilt. Unless you are in good with or related to management, you will not be going anywhere. Job openings are rarely posted and promotions are granted only within the manager's inner posse. (Also, gender and age biased.) This corruption is SO blatant, yet gotten away with, as management, corporate and (so-called) human resources are all in bed together. (From what I've heard, the corporate admin. location has just as many unhappy employees.)
Stores are very unorganized, short on supplies, broken equipment, SHORT ON LABOR, but overloaded on management. (Many of which are walking around the stores with their arms folded or hands in their pockets, as hourly employees make it all happen in a crazy environment.) It's the norm for employees to to be working in brinksmanship conditions set up by management while putting out daily "fires" created by poor managing.
No customer service department; instead the workers are left to deal with all the CS issues.
NO training, whatsoever. You "learn" as you go from errors you were not taught about; just blamed for.
con, Con, CONS: the list goes on and on...Advice to ManagementAdvice
Treat your employees as you would treat your best customers and your company image would truly be as good as that phony veneer you try to present daily.Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookDisapproves of CEO
