I have been working at Stanley Black & Decker full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

People who love tools, 401k, medical benefits, annual tool discount.

    Cons

Very bad and aggressive management that seem to fire a loyal employee for non-work performance reasons to satisfy profit numbers and then rehire for these positions. The company does an annual purge at least once a year to ensure annual profit growth is met. Finance and marketing folks worry the most and new people seem to leave quickly. The intern see this and most do not accept a job offer despite higher salary. Lately only desperate people join the company. Since i joined the management rank to be bonus eligible i hear all the bonus conversations and meetgs. I noticed that the leaders seem to make their decision based an how it impacts the short term bonus and the long term health of the company. The upper msnager bonuses are huge and seem to make people do crazy things.

Advice is to find another company as this one has a high chance of harming ones career and personal life.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Company and employee first priority ....bonuses second.
