Former Employee - Sales Associate Staples in Issaquah, WA

I worked at Staples part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Flexible hours, and you can learn a lot about retail

    Cons

Both of my managers were very mean and only cared about sales numbers. They had you do multiple jobs at once. First I was hired in one department and then they transferred me to another and said they didn't need me in that one department anymore. The pay is small and the raises were less than 20 cents. I got a raise and was disgusted with how much I was given. I was expecting more for all the hard work I put in.

I found my store was understaffed and the associates are not appreciated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your employees better, keep in touch with your store managers to find out whats going on with your stores, don't schedule phone conferences in the middle of the day, staff more people.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
