I worked at Starbucks full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Meet lots of people, both good and bad. There can be a work-life balance, and that lingo is actually in their vocabulary. Great Benefits - they paid for my AA schooling! Free coffee, tea, food, merchandise. You do get tips weekly, but they only guarantee $.50/hour.

    Cons

Depending on the store, your manager might be great, or terrible. Same goes for the Regional or Assistant SM. Early hours if you open at 4:30 AM.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please promote from within. I have seen so many great, loyal, smart, and savvy individuals get passed over for a measly SM or District or Regional position in favor for an outside hire. The loyal partners should be favored, since the job would mean so much to them.
