I have been working at Starbucks part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits and pay are great, given the market it occupies. You get to meet interesting people everyday, and develop lasting friendships.

    Cons

Shifts are sometimes beyond fast-paced, approaching impossibly brutal.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a way to make sure your "guiding principles" are really adopted all the way through the organization. Hold everyone to the same standard, from baristas through VPs.
