    Pros

Sure, there are decent benefits but other companies have the same sort of benefits as well. Apart from that fact, Star-bucks practically runs a monopoly in the USA so you can always transfer to a different store someplace else if needed or wanted. It's also nice to get free drinks and food when on your shift. The weekly coffee mark-out is rather good as well.

    Cons

The pay is just too low. For the long hours that they work you, the foolish demands that customers have (like it's a darn restaurant, yet with no serious tips!), it's not quite worth it. The small tips that customers throw in the tip box are of course divided amongst the entire team and depending upon your location, it only averages out to maybe an extra 1-2$ an hour. You'll feel as if you're sweating for nickels and dimes at this place. For everything that you put up with, you have to ask yourself if it's really worth it. Sadly, Americans are obsessed with coffee and what makes it worse is that it does nothing for the human body, health wise. It seems that the majority of people that come into this store just can't take a hint, they're addicted....and then they wonder why they are over-weight and unhealthy. I also can't stand people that ask for water because they know we give it out for free and then flop out in our store for 6 hours straight, using up the Internet. Sometimes I feel like we run a darn homeless shelter. Also, for the most part, the people that you work with will be polite but many of them have these inner egos because they are secretly insecure about themselves and their own lives. People will be quick to try to boss you around like you're a dog but the moment you ask them to do one thing, they have this stink face! Some folks don't work as a team, they're just focused on themselves. People like that are disgusting. Also, people try to compete for supervisor positions that also don't pay much, yet they make you work like a damn horse to even be considered. This job is something you do to get a little extra chump change but for anything further than that, really ask yourself if it's worth it Also, be prepared for management to spitefully mess with your hours on the schedule when you don't kiss their rear.

    Advice to Management

CARE about others. Put your team before yourself. Simply because you are unhappy with yourself and your life does not mean that others should suffer. Don't allow your team to work in horrible conditions during the summer with a broken air conditioner. Be upfront. Don't gossip. Be professional. Get over your pride and egos and work as a team, helping and supporting one another.
