Former Employee - Administrative Assistant in Chicago, IL

I worked at State of Illinois full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

I had a chance to help the residents of Ill. and I had great Employers and employees to work for and with.

    Cons

I sometimes felt under appreciated, but that was not often. The public is less cordial then they use to be, but I always gave them my best smile and helped them, no matter how upset they may be.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees with respect, and not micro manage. Find their strengths and use them, and help them overcome their weaknesses.
