I worked at State of Indiana Department of Workforce Development full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The purpose is to help people find work, that is enjoyable. Everyone at the agency has a great heart for helping. The agency has many complex activities that operate independently of each other, so there is a lot to see and learn.

    Cons

Upper level management turnover and frequent changing of direction. Team based culture is not always fostered well. Some lifetime or long tenured employees have low levels of motivation, making progress slow.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
