I worked at Subsea 7 as a contractor (more than an year)

Exciting technical company to work for with exciting projects and global opportunities.
Excellent facilities and capability to execute their projects through out the world

Contractors are not treated well. Temporary staff are criticised for not putting in overtime.
It is not how well you perform in the role it is whether your manager likes you. If they don't there is a culture of just "getting rid of" people so they can get someone else in.
No development for those who are enthusiastic and good performers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your contractors and staff with some humanity. Just because certain managers don't get on with people is not a reason to exit someone giving a bogus reason only to recruit for a new person within a few weeks.
Office politics are awful - management flaunt their superiority and are not good with dealing with their contractors.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
