    I worked at Suddenlink Communications full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Friendly atmosphere, generally awesome people, entry-level training, decent wage with opportunity for raises, they feed you sometimes.

    Cons

    Unapproachable upper management, superiors uninterested in suggestions despite significant need for policy improvements at all levels, cult-like at times

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be genuinely open to suggestions from people working under you within the call center. So very often were my ideas were met with an attitude along the lines of, "That's really a great suggestion, I agree with you, but this discussion is a waste of time because only the company's executives have a say in that, besides, you're not paid to make suggestions, get back on the phone and make sure to offer phone service". Suddenlink supervisors, managers, etc need to come to terms with the cold, hard truth... that is, that when it comes to the dynamics of customer interactions and the myriad protocols and processes for a given department, the agents taking dozens of calls day after day, month after month, year after year... those agents know substantially more about the nitty-gritty of what works and what doesn't, about how things should be done versus how they're "supposed" to be done, and on and on across the entire spectrum of operations that occur anytime an employee is doing something for a customer. Agent understanding of the true nature of these things, and management's understanding... are two vastly different things, because the former is the frontline, and the latter simply is not. Learn to trust their judgment, and make a concerted, proactive, and (most importantly) genuine effort to streamline the company based on their suggestions. Listen to their voice.
