    Approves of CEO

I had a great manager and team, and depending the department within Product Development, will determine how you feel about your job. I gained a great depth of experience here that has been invaluable in new endeavors.

Very low pay for the industry and high stress work environment. My invaluable experience is because of the chaos I had to endure at this job. A lot of outsourced work with poor results. There's a lot of politics here and even more so with the acquisition by Skillsoft. Not much room for growth. At the end of the day, it wasn't for me in the long run, but the experience was worth it. My new job is significantly better, but I'd probably not be as good at it without my time at SumTotal. On Ratings section, Hardeep is not the CEO anymore, but he was a good one I felt. And even with 2 stars on most sections, I'd still recommend it to a friend because it is a challenging place to work, which is great to build experience. And with all the great people that work on the floor, maybe it will be to your likings long term. 6 month business outlook is hard to say with the acquisition, I suspect things will change there, but whether that's worse or better I wouldn't know anymore.

    Advice to Management

Let people do their jobs... Trust them... Don't micromanage. I say this, when I was not myself micromanaged, but I saw a lot of it. There are some good people on staff, and I fear they cannot show their full potential because of political warfare of the multiple management teams. Too many managers with their hand in the pot results in an actual lack of decisions and more chaos.
