I worked at SunGardPros
SunGard is at times an amazing place to work, and then you get the other extreme where you want to just shake your head in astonishment at some decisions. More often that not, you get an opportunity to work in an international setting and those Sungard colleagues sitting across from you are smarter than you, more experienced than you, and knows everything about you before you even sat down. Then you recognize how cool and down to earth almost everybody is and you get on with it. You always learn something new everyday.Cons
I'll list in no particular order:
1)Its huge - 23,000 employees around the world.
2)Its fragmented - Very large segments all vying for the attention and budget/compensation dollars. 3)There's a reorg every year - new managers every year, new expectations.
4)Very top heavy
5)BS routine about "titles don't really matter" - really?Advice to ManagementAdvice
You've got really great people working at SunGard. They are a dedicated and professional bunch. Take care of them and they will take care of you.RecommendsNo opinion of CEO
