    I have been working at SunTrust full-time (more than an year)


    No cost training offered to broaden your horizons. Good benefits regarding health insurance and 401K with company match.


    Unfortunaly the cons outweigh the pros from my perspective. During reviews they'll only award a max pay increase of 2%. I've worked more and have been more efficient & productive than all other 25 employees in my group yet we all get the same pay raise. When being promoted, the company will only allow a max 8% increase on your salary. This is a huge red flag because I earned the promotion for performance and work ethic. According to the company salary structure; I should have gotten an increase of approximately 16K just to get the "minimum" they claim they'd pay an employee with the job grade I was offered. However, my pay increase was barely 4K.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Treat your employees fairly!!! Especially if they go above and beyond and mean good to the future of your company. I find it very disturbing that a loyal employee who genuinely earned a promotion and was able to skip 4 job grades wont be offered the same salary as someone being hired from the streets for the same position. Along with me, you've lost good employees just because other companies were willing to pay us what we are worth. Continue to nickel and dime your employees and you will be left with people that are just looking for a "job" so they can pay their bills and dont care about how well the job is done. With this philosophy you'll end up with the worst in the workforce and will always remain behind the Big 10.
