    I worked at Sur La Table full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    Clientele, products and generous discount make this workplace attractive and potentially rewarding for anyone who loves to cook and entertain.

    Cons

    Store managers, assistants and floor leads are given no credit whatsoever for knowing how to run the business. When sales are good and goals are met little or no real recognition is given. If sales dip even for a single week expect harsh and demoralizing repercussions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop hiring District managers from outside the company. They have no idea what is like to run these stores.
