-Sylvan corporate has a dedicated team for technical and operations support.
-There is a great deal of training available via web conferences and online to help you keep updated of content changes and improvements.
-As a center director you have the opportunity to build a strong team of teachers and administrators.
-You can grow your center as you would your own business.Cons
-Sylvan centers are franchised and therefore individual experiences will vary depending on your relationship with the franchisee.
-Insufficient salary for directors but this greatly varies from one franchise to another and bonuses are tied to the performance of the center.
-Lots of corporate training but no follow through.
-Program costs for Sylvan are still out of reach for many families that could benefit from the service.Advice to ManagementAdvice
-Sylvan corporate needs to find a way to make its programs available to a larger demographic.
-Ease up on the corporate costs being funneled through the Franchisees.
