I have been working at T-Mobile part-time (More than 8 years)
Excellent benefits, PTO, commission plus hourly, wonderful CEO, and innovation at it's finest. Everything magenta, company culture welcomes the bold and feels like family. I can't even begin to describe how much being a part of the T-Mobile family has benefited my own life and my family's for the last almost 10 years. This company has come a long way and it's been amazing to be part of for so long.
Glass ceiling. As a female in a corporate environment, stores that predominantly retain male staff do not acknowledge advancement of female talent. I've been a part of every program to be promoted and it has personally been a decade long pursuit. Other male applicants from outside and internally do not require same adherence which I've shared similar frustrations with fellow T-Mobile female coworkers and peers from other markets. Outside of gender inequality, highly populated markets mostly do outside hiring for management while the long line of exceptional internal candidates are overlooked and almost disrespectfully dismissed for an elevated leadership title that in almost 100% of cases the employee has already been fulfilling duties of that role diligently.
Advice to Management
Consistency to every employee regardless of gender or role. More fast tracked and better access/company recognized program that prepares internal candidates for strong, tracked pace to leadership including current management advancement opportunities.
