Good work-life balance but below market pay, lack of growth opportunity

I have been working at THE CIT GROUP COMMERCIAL SERVICES full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Good work-life balance. On a typical day employees leave by 5:30. Good vacation time of 4 weeks plus 4 personal days if you're above a certain level (though they start you off with two weeks + personal days).

    Cons

Management focuses on savings costs. Salaries are well below market, and below what other subsidiaries of CIT are paying. Feels like you're working for the stepson of the corporate parent. Lack of opportunity to advance. It's a relatively small organization, in a tough market with an urgent need to branch out into new areas. No support from corporate parent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start paying your employees market salaries. Better yet, sell Commercial Services to another bank that will have better synergies with the factoring business.
