    I have been working at TRW Automotive full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    The people are great for the most part.

    Lots of career opportunities.

    Cons

    The management from one shift to another and even within the same shift don't communicate.

    The most understaffed plant in Body Control System yet we make the most profit.

    Cannot get enough support people like Electric Techs, Maintenance, and Material Handlers. Also 2 and 3 shift need Engineers but all we get from Management, "No Engineers will accept 2 shift."

    I've worked Assemble and Auto Insert Operator and I've seen that AIO's are given no respect by management. We are forced to work 50+ hours each week and expected to keep up with General Assemble of 300+ people with only 10+ AIO's on 2nd, 3rd has 10+ openings because no one wants to work that shift, and 1st has 15+ AIO's and twice as many assemble? It's ridiculous.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Communicate better between Supervisor and Upper Management. Maybe have some of the paper pushers actually see what it takes to run the floor. New manager wanted to change established things set down in our union contract like forcing mandatory 12 hour days.
