I worked at Target part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Follows availability well and is flexible, so makes a decent job when in school, working a second job, etc. Everyone seemed pretty friendly; if you're not the type to talk or socialize much at least they leave you alone and aren't rude. For a minimum wage and entry level environment the pay is pretty good. Charitable and environmentally aware themed (recycling old boxes, etc.).

    Cons

This job is pretty take it or or leave it. Kind of dime a dozen as far as benefits; they offer few but there are worse atmospheres to work in. It is what you want it to be and if you don't intend to be miserable, don't get too involved with the standard interoffice politics, and work hard you can and will work here for an extended period of time. However this is not a career whatsoever and as much as all of these "supercenter" corporations try to brainwash into thinking it, you won't advance very far and if you do you probably won't love the job. Specifically, in the overnight position, you have to be pretty dedicated to boring/ repetitive work and be willing to teach yourself things since there are no people willing to train you adequately, explain issues to you, etc. since it's the typical atmosphere of high productivity and efficiency at the risk of everything.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Team meetings are rather middle school and you're better off directing your concerns to people yourselves.
