Being a Cashier at Target is a good first job, I suppose.

I have been working at Target part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

All of the team members are extremely nice and understanding. The guests (Target's way of reffering to customers) are not anything like I had expected -- they sre all very nice, and if you make a mistake, they won't bite your head off, instead, a lot of them say "No, don't worry, take your time."

    Cons

The PAY! Also, after the holiday season, hours got cut horribly. As a part-time seasonal employee, I got one check of $272, and another of $330. As a part-time regular, I am barely making $150... I am a Cashier Team Member earning $8.25/hr.

Another thing, RedCards are a huge thing for the Target Corporation. Once, I sold 13 during a five hour shift, and I did not get rewarded anything. Other times my super visors have given me free lunch, free coffee, or something from the sales floor worth up to $10, though I would prefer a bonus in my paycheck, or even store credit! Most of my money goes back into Target anyway.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give monetary rewards to your team members! Selling thirteen RedCards in one day isn't easy, you know. Also, Target is a pretty large corporation... can't you up the pay by two dollars? Having an aching back and feet for five hours in exchange for $41.50 is beginning to not be worth it.
