I worked at Target part-time for less than a year

    Pros

They are flexible with working with school schedules. They take you as your are which makes for an awesome work environment for employees. Can be a fun place to work dependent on the other employees and management.

    Cons

I chose not to accept a permanent position offered after seasonal employee term ended.Pay rate is depressing, most of the leads and managers were struggling to make ends meat, which is a huge deterrent for wanting to advance in the company. Not a good idea if this is the only source of income.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Target believes in helping the community which is very admirable. Please remember that your employees are also part of that community and in my short time working there, most of the employees were struggling. It was very depressing to have a conversation with a lead, about how they were so hungry because they didn't have any food, and how they keep asking for more hours. When employees are composted for there work, internal theft is decreased.
