I worked at Tarrant County full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

good benefits which you can get with any department within Tarrant county.

    Cons

Everything from the director's overbearing, childish tantrums to the clients that come into the office expecting handouts for not effort on their part. Not everyone that walks in to that office is that bad but the majority of them are. There are several cases in which people really do need the help but it is near impossible to actually help the ones that really need it. There are some really great people that work there but the work environment is stressful. If you're looking for a m-f standard full time hours, don't bother here. You will be expected to work over your time even if you get overtime hours, after a long day of getting yelled at from your boss and the clients, its not worth the hassle.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to treat your employees better. If you did that you might actually be able to keep clerks a longer time than you seem to be able to. Learn to control your temper. Stop talking down to your employees in front of other employees. Stop lying. Stop trying to cover your own butt and do something good for the department instead.
