Some good people work here but they are not appreciated and most get burnt out and leave. You will learn how to deal with a high stress environment and learn how to bite your tongue.Cons
Where to begin, the salaries are not fair for the amount of work and stress this company puts you through. You are encouraged to speak up, but then knocked for it when you do. There are a lot of questionable things that come out from behind closed doors at this company. Started as a family business but has gone completely downhill especially in the last year and a half.
The review about it being a family company is probably written by one of the many "yes" men in management. If you do as your told by upper management and don't care about being encouraging or appreciating your teammates then you will get far. There is an EXTREME lack of moral at this company. They have lost a large amount of people and still do not get the hint. They have been told numerous times that they will continue to lose people if they do not change. If they continue to treat people the way they do this company will crumble. It will seem great at first until you really see how they run things there. You've been warned.
Also, many people have left due to stress induced health issues that were non-existent previous to employment here. That's a blaring sign it is not a healthy place to work, mentally or physically.
HR issues will arise, you can try telling someone to get support but nothing is ever done. People don't speak up because A. nothing will be done and B. they don't want to lose their jobs like previous employees who have been honest.Advice to ManagementAdvice
Management needs to listen to the people, there are way too many people allowed to make decisions there. Stop asking people to be honest when you plan to push them out after doing so. People there are unhappy. It is the whisper behind closed doors and the talk between cubicles. You will continue to lose employees if you don't stop seeming so money hungry and value the work the people do there. It's very clear the sales team is praised and rewarded with gifts and benefits, but the people who work so hard to write, edit and design the product are not given the same amount of appreciation.
