I have been working at Teavana full-time (Less than a year)
To become a Tea connoisseur. Learn the in and out of Tea. Including the background and history of Tea. Educating Teavana consumers so they can learn about the true meaning of Teavana. The daily challenges you face as a Tea associate. Meeting objectives and sale goals as a partner.
A bit of a downside about Teavana would have to be to be the slight lack of training skills within the company. We train collectively but not a lot of one on ones for the newer hires. With that happening occasionally some partners lack efficiency and knowledge of job responsibilities.
Advice to Management
More one on one training to make sure partners feel confident in their work and they would be able to be a great example of management. Not only to corporate, but to Teavana consumers. Consumers tend to judge an establishment based on the team collectively.
