    I worked at Tech USA full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Pay is weekly, most members of the recruitment team are young and driven which makes the long hours bearable. It was a decent place to get started right out of college to gain experience in recruitment, client management and sales.

    Cons

    As a recruiter your are assigned to a single account manager and their line of clients. If you have a driven, tenured account manager with solid client relationships then all the work that you put into sourcing candidates and recruiting will be worth it because you will get placements and you will grow. If you work with an account manager who doesn't have a stable business line and was likely promoted due to the boys-club mentality of the company, then you are doomed. You will not get placements because your account executive does not qualify orders, nor generate solid business. If you do not get placements, you will not grow in spread- if you dont hit spread goals, you get all the blame- not your failing account manager. The training is very general and haphazard- so dont expect a whole lot of support there. You had better hope you have a senior recruiter on your team, or an account executive willing to teach you the tools of the trade. Recruitment is no easy industry to begin with- not having resources when you are new to the industry makes it nearly impossible. The hours are long- 10 hour work days that start off with morning meetings where you will be publicly ridiculed for not hitting ridiculous metrics that are nowhere near reasonable if you are working on higher level positions. The person doing the ridiculing?- your "directors" or account executives who have not sat in a recruitment chair in years and have no awareness of how it has changed. Also- unless you want to get into sales- there is ZERO opportunity for progression. There is no career path for recruitment or operations. The pay is decent coming out of college- but 32K base does not pay the bills forever. And commission structure is terrible. Forget a social life. If you play the game- spend the short amount of personal time you do have in your evenings going to happy hours and marketing events a kissing serious corporate butt, you will likely stay under the radar and may do fairly well because its a boys club. Even if you do not hit goals within a reasonable time- if you are willing to fuel egos and play the game you will get a promotion and since you will be unprepared to lead your own team you will likely be the cause for an entire group of new recruiters not hitting goals- burning out- and generally wanting to drown themselves in booze at the end of the day.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pay attention to how the company has literally disintegrated with attrition the last few years. That is because the good talent have realized that your company is a joke. Stop putting your AM's on a pedestal and kicking down the people responsible for making their client placements and success.
