    Pros

    Great training. Friendly co-workers. Somewhat good customers

    Rude customers, always short staffed, drama, favoritism.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Overall this is a good place to work, depending where you are hired the areas can be tough. I hear a lot of stories about Fall River, New Bedford and so on. It is really a good first job for college kids, old people, etc. Before tedeschi's I had worked at other convenient stores, and my experience with prior locations help the new people out. Customers were 50-50. Some are okay and some are rude. I find the most people using EBT and lottery players to be the rudest of the crowd, and the others are nice as can be. If you know your lottery you'll do fine. Some people will flip out over a wrong button pressed on lottery terminals. Isn't that why we have slips to fill out for your lottery numbers? I do have to say though, I think you should start seriously looking into better managers and better ways of hiring employees. Some managers are serious jokes and they let the inmates run the asylum. Meaning the associates do what they feel like doing, and no consequences follow for their actions, or the people managers hire have no prior experience and lie on the application and they still let them stick around. At the same time it always seems that stores seem to be short staffed and always have to call around for guys/gals on their days off to come in to stores they don't want to go to. I do think that the associates need better wages too. I know and have seen some kids bust their hump for only $8.25 (starting pay) and quit under stress. Tedeschi's has a secret shopper program and is somewhat silly. I think if an associate(s) get the 100-105% a bonus should be given for getting that. I have been in stores that have gotten 100's and also 50's. Never were they rewarded for them, only lectured.
